Tecno Boom J8 Review (Based On Specs)
From the specs sheet above , we can see that the Boom J8 is a BIG improvement from last year’s boom J7. The design has been polished , the user interface has been revamped and the RAM has been bumped up to 2GB. The Boom J8 has a 5.5 inch screen and 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. Tecno told us that the display has been optimised to consume less battery. In terms of design , the device comes with a plastic body , and a little bit of metal at the sides and the speakers are at the bottom. The volume and power buttons are on the right hand side , while the charging port and speakers are both at the bottom. At a first glance , you would almost mistake the Boom J8 for an iPhone 6. They have a very similar design and the speakers are at the same spot ; at the bottom. But the iPhone 6 has a full metal build , while Tecno J8 is made of plastic and a little bit of metal. For performance , Tecno J8 uses a 64-bit Quad-core MediaTek processor , clocked at a speed of 1.3Ghz frequency. When put through a series of test , The Boom J8 performed exceedingly well. There was barely any noticeable lag , and the 2GB RAM helped a lot during multitasking (switching of apps). AnTuTu benchmark test revealed a processor score of 32143 and a RAM score of 4333.
Now lets talk about the user interface. The J8 will also be the first smartphone to use TECNO’s new and improved User Interface , HiOs. The HiOS is designed with practicality firmly in mind; HiOS’ icons are sleek, intuitive and instantly distinguishable. HiOS has a user-interface that has a clean look and it isn’t cluttered in anyway. The lock screen has a minimalist design and the same goes for the home screen.
For those who love to customize, there are different themes to choose from and I am sure that new ones will constantly be added.

I was inspired by the wonderful Tecno creations, most especially c8vsj8. The camon is the liked phone which every one will want to have or get because of it’s features. But the boom is the loved and most loved because of it’s 4g network and other features, It is not hidden that the j8 is best and superb tripped by every one. Camera quality is as good as that of Camon C8 , but Camon c8 still edges out when compared to J8 ; thanks to the dual flash light and inbuilt image enhancing software
